Position Overview

The Chief Investment Officer (CIO) at BrandsRevenue will be responsible for managing the company's investment strategies, overseeing the investment portfolio, and identifying new investment opportunities. This executive role will involve collaborating with the senior leadership team to ensure alignment with the company’s financial goals and strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Investment Strategy & Policy Development

Develop and implement comprehensive investment strategies that align with BrandsRevenue's objectives and risk tolerance.

Establish investment policies and guidelines that ensure prudent and effective management of assets.

Monitor economic trends, market conditions, and emerging opportunities to adapt investment strategies as needed.

2. Portfolio Management

Oversee the management of the company's investment portfolio, including asset allocation, performance monitoring, and risk assessment.

Optimise the portfolio to achieve targeted returns while managing risk exposure.

Conduct regular reviews and analysis of portfolio performance and make recommendations for adjustments.

3. Investment Research & Analysis

Conduct in depth research and analysis of potential investment opportunities, including equities, fixed income, real estate, and alternative investments.

Evaluate investment proposals, including financial modelling, due diligence, and risk assessment.

Prepare detailed investment reports and presentations for the executive team and board of directors.

4. Risk Management

   Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential losses and ensure portfolio resilience.

   Establish risk management frameworks and procedures to identify, assess, and manage investment risks.

   Regularly assess the risk profile of the investment portfolio and implement necessary controls.

5. Capital Allocation & Financial Planning

    Collaborate with the finance team to ensure effective capital allocation and financial planning.

    Provide insights on capital structure, funding strategies, and liquidity management.

    Align investment strategies with the company’s overall financial objectives and growth plans.

6. Team Leadership & Development

    Lead and mentor the investment team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

    Provide guidance and professional development opportunities to team members.

    Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team and across departments.

7. Stakeholder Communication & Reporting

Communicate investment strategies, performance, and insights to the executive team, board of directors, and other stakeholders.

 Prepare and present investment reports, forecasts, and recommendations.

 Maintain transparency and ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements.

8. Partnership & Network Development

Build and maintain relationships with external partners, including investment banks, financial advisors, and industry experts.

Represent BrandsRevenue in investment forums, conferences, and industry events.

Leverage external networks to enhance investment opportunities and knowledge.

Qualifications

Education: 

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or CFA designation preferred.

Experience

Minimum 30  years of experience in investment management, with a track record of successful investment strategy development and portfolio management.

 Skills:

   Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with expertise in financial modelling and valuation.

   Deep understanding of various asset classes and investment vehicles.

   Proven leadership and team management abilities.

   Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

   High ethical standards and a commitment to integrity in investment practices.
